Commissioned by the Department of Rehabilitation of China Disabled Persons’ Federation, the Social Service Guide Center of China Disabled Persons’ Federation successfully hosted 2018 Nationwide Cadre Training Course on Navigation, Mobility, and Adaption Training for the Blind in Pengzhou, Sichuan from 21st to 25th of May, 2018. Those attending the training included leaders and business cadres from 31 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) including Beijing and Tianjin as well as the Department of Rehabilitation of Heilongjiang Farms and Land Reclamation Administration and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Liu Yuchi, Executive Deputy Director of the Social Service Guide Center of China Disabled Persons’ Federation, Ma Jun, Party Member and Vice President of Sichuan Disabled Persons’ Federation and Gong Yaming, Standing Committee Member and Organization Director of the Municipal Party Committee attended the opening ceremony.
The training course closely followed the requirements for the training of professionals for the Disabled Persons’ Federation system nationwide with a focus on updating the trainees’ philosophy of rehabilitation and improving their abilities in rehabilitation. The trainers allowed the trainees to learn the core contents of different services for the blind at an in-depth level through theoretical lectures, practices and demonstrations, panel discussions, site visits and phased examinations.
GZTech Group was invited to attend the seminar and training meeting session on“Accessibility of the Life and Information of the Blind” of the training course. The results of the anonymous satisfaction questionnaire show that: the training is commonly recognized by the leader trainees from all over the country, who think that with a focused theme, precise organization, diversified contents and meticulous teaching, the training has brought a sense of modern technology while being quite down to earth. They generally agree they have learned a lot from the training and got the answers to many questions in their previous work, and that they will apply what they have learned into practice and actively innovate in service modes to satisfy all the rehabilitation service needs of the blind.
